Aishwarya is part of the Industry Analysis team, where she specialises in the consumer goods and retail sector. She contributes to forecasts, reports and analysis spanning more than 70 countries with a keen interest in the Latin American and Asia-Pacific regions. She assesses various segments like online retail, food and beverages, white goods, cosmetics and apparel, along with tracking government regulations and trends in the consumer goods and retail industry.
Prior to joining The Economist Intelligence Unit in September 2022, she was a business and finance journalist. She holds a Masters in International Relations and Political Science degree from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Switzerland; a post-graduate diploma in new-media journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, and a Bachelor of Mass Media degree with a specialisation in journalism from Mumbai University.
